Diversity and Inclusivity in Diplomacy

The MemoryBox Georgetown University chapter will be hosting an exposition on campus regarding Jewish values, diversity, and inclusion. The exposition aims to discuss Jewish leaders that furthered underrepresented groups’ rights, spotlight MemoryBox Jewish family stories that showcase inclusion, and further Holocaust remembrance. Ultimately, the goal is to combat misconceptions about the Jewish community and strengthen intercultural bonds. Senior speakers including Ambassador Régibeau of Belgium to the United States and World Jewish Congress diplomats will be present to discuss how leaders can reckon with the Holocaust and protect human rights for all future generations.

Become a MemoryBox Interviewer

MemoryBox interviewers are an international network of Jewish student leaders helping protect the Jewish history worldwide. They hold the important job of learning about their community’s Jewish families’ stories directly from the families themselves. Interviewers will either reach out or be assigned a family to interview in their community. With the information collected, the interviewer will write a short story about the family, including pictures of meaningful family documents such as old certificates and photographs. You may access the MemoryBox Interviewer application form at the following link: https://www.memoryboxglobal.com/team-4.

Message From the Founder Eliott Prezerowitz

“As a grandchild and great-grandchild of Holocaust survivors, Jewish history and identity always played a central role in my life. When I realized that the unique stories and immense diversity of Jewish individuals around the world could be harnessed to combat antisemitism and celebrate who we are, I chose to make a difference. MemoryBox represents my wish to combat antisemitism in a new way, by showing to all what Jewish culture truly is and why Jewish history and contributions matter to our present society. I believe that by putting a face to Jewish diversity, we can promote better understanding and fight prejudices.”
