Shira Oz is a junior in the School of Foreign Service majoring in International Politics with a concentration in Security Studies and a minor in Jewish Civilization. She has taken courses with Prof. Ed Husain, Prof. Ori Soltes, Prof. Anna Sommer, Dr. Umansky, and Fr. Desbois. In addition to serving as a CJC Ambassador, Shira serves as a Jewish Intern, TA’s for Prof. Jonathan Lincoln, Prof. Ori Soltes, and Prof. Sara Grayson’s Advanced Hebrew course. In the past she has TA’ed for Prof. Meital Orr and conducted research for Prof. Diana Dumitru. She also conducts research for professors and practitioners across the fields of cyber security, ethnomusicology, and online child exploitation of children. On campus, she was a senior editor on Georgetown University’s newspaper The Hoya and hosted her own radio show with WGTB.
